The Location

The cabin, accessible only by float plane, is located 145 miles north of our float plane base in Minaki, which means your fly-in fishing vacation will be deep in the Canadian wilderness. Chances are you will never see another person. Fish the rapids at the north or south end of the lake or ask for ‘honey hole’ locations from one of our fly-in fishing guides. Hundreds of miles of shoreline mean you can find a place to fish that no man has fished before. That’s what fly-in fishing Canada style is all about.

The Cabin

In Canada, fly-in fishing vacations for the whole family can be a reality. At Sharpstone an open floor plan cabin with three private bedrooms provides plenty of space for four to six guests. Solar electricity, a propane refrigerator and cook-stove, running water and a shower make this Canadian fly-in fishing adventure a luxurious affair. Cooking and table utensils, oversized frying pans for shore lunches, and ice chests are provided. All you need to bring is food, bedding and fishing gear.

The Equipment

Four 16-ft Lund boats with 15 h.p. motors give you the range and comfort needed for an area this large. Extra gas cans, a fuel depot, landing nets, boat cushions and life jackets are all provided. At Sharpstone Lake, a satellite phone is available for those that want to be in contact with the outside world while enjoying the true wilderness experience that comes with fly-in fishing in Canada.
